核桃酥 (Walnut cookies)

Ingredient:
100g walnut
40g almond
180g plain flour
2 tablespoons milk powder
120g icing sugar
1/4 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon baking soda
120g butter

Method:

  1. Blend walnut and almond into powder
  2. Beat butter till soft, then add in icing sugar. Beat till mix well.
  3. Add in the rest of ingredients and knead till form dough.
  4. Divide the dough into small pieces and roll till rounded shape.
  5. Arrange on lined baking trays (must space at least one finger) and glaze surfaces with egg yolk.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degree Celsius for 30 minutes until lightly browned. Cool well before storage.
