Coffee bread


Ingredients:
A
Coffee mixture: 250ml
Yeast: 1/2 tablespoon
Sugar: 5 tablespoons
Flour: 500g
Milk powder: 3 tablespoons
Milo powder: 1 tablespoon
B
Butter: 2 tablespoons
Salt: 1 teaspoon

Method:

  1. Mix well ingredient A.
  2. Add in ingredient B.
  3. Knead the dough until the dough is soft and smooth. Initially, the dough seem very sticky, knead the dough until the dough is elastic and no longer sticky.
  4. Cover with a damp clean cloth and let rise for around 2 hours or until dough has doubled in bulk.
  5. Punch down the risen dough again.
  6. After two times rinsing, punch down the dough and separate the dough into few pieces, depending on the type of braid you'd like to do. 
  7. Cut into 24 small pieces of dough
  8. Place the braided loaves on a greased cooking plate. Let the bread rise again until doubled.
  9. Preheat the oven to 160 to 170 degree.
  10. Brush the bread with one beaten egg and bake for around 45 minutes.
